Terms of Service
Effective June 7, 2026
Welcome to Mintage TCG. These Terms of Service govern your use of the Mintage mobile application, our marketing website at mintagetcg.app, and any related services. By installing, accessing, or using Mintage, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. About Mintage
Mintage TCG is a personal trading-card-game collection tracker. The app lets you scan, organize, value, and showcase physical cards across nine TCGs at launch: Pokémon, Pokémon Japan, One Piece Card Game, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Disney Lorcana, Star Wars Unlimited, Gundam Card Game, and Riftbound: League of Legends. Mintage also provides tools for personal record-keeping, raw + PSA-graded price tracking, dream-pull simulation, a community social feed ("Mint Social"), and an AI assistant named "Brie".
Mintage is developed and operated by Mintage TCG, an individual developer based in the Republic of the Philippines ("we", "us", or "our"). You can reach us at support@mintagetcg.app.
2. Unofficial / Independent App
This includes, but is not limited to:
- The Pokémon Company International, Nintendo, Game Freak, and Creatures, Inc. (Pokémon TCG)
- Bandai Namco Entertainment, Toei Animation, and Eiichiro Oda (One Piece Card Game; Gundam Card Game)
- Wizards of the Coast LLC and Hasbro, Inc. (Magic: The Gathering)
- Konami Group Corporation (Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game)
- Ravensburger AG and The Walt Disney Company (Disney Lorcana)
- Fantasy Flight Games / Asmodee (Star Wars Unlimited)
- Riot Games, Inc. (Riftbound: League of Legends)
- All other TCG publishers, distributors, marketplaces, or rights holders
All trademarks, card names, character names, set names, artwork, logos, and other intellectual property associated with the above games belong to their respective owners. References to these games, sets, and cards within Mintage are made for the sole purpose of identification, cataloging, and market-price reference for cards that you physically own or are interested in — a use we believe is consistent with nominative fair use under Philippine, U.S., and analogous international trademark law.
If you are a rights holder and have concerns about how your trademarks or content are referenced or displayed in Mintage, please contact us at privacy@mintagetcg.app and we will respond promptly.
3. Card Images and Pricing Data
Mintage may display low-resolution thumbnail images of trading cards for the sole purpose of identification and visual confirmation of cards in your personal collection. These images are sourced from publicly available datasets (primarily TCGplayer via the TCGCSV public dataset) and TCG marketplace metadata.
Raw market prices in Mintage are aggregated from third-party public marketplaces. Graded prices are computed from real PSA, BGS, CGC, and SGC sold listings on eBay, filtered for outliers and grouped by grader and grade. All pricing data is provided for informational purposes only. Mintage is not a marketplace and does not facilitate purchases or sales of trading cards.
4. Your Account
You sign in to Mintage via Sign in with Apple. We use the Apple-provided identifier to maintain your account and synchronize your collection across devices. You are responsible for maintaining the security of the device(s) you use to access your account.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Mintage. If you are between 13 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to use the app.
5. Your Content
Information you enter — cards in your portfolio, wishlist entries, conditions, acquired prices, notes, badge showcase selections, and dream pulls — belongs to you. We store it on your behalf to deliver the service. You retain all rights to your collection data and may export or delete it at any time via the Profile screen.
Mint Social — our in-app community feed — lets you post content publicly to other users: posts (text + images), comments, stories, follows, and likes. By posting any content to Mint Social you grant Mintage a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that content within the Mintage service for the purpose of operating the feed (delivering your content to other users, generating thumbnails, caching, and serving it through the app). This license ends when you delete the content or close your account, except for residual copies that exist in encrypted backups for the standard retention window described in our Privacy Policy.
You represent that you own or have the right to share everything you post to Mint Social. We may remove content that violates these Terms, infringes third-party rights, or is reported by other users for abuse.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to:
- Use Mintage for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
- Scrape, mirror, or systematically extract Mintage's data, card metadata, or pricing data for redistribution.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app.
- Submit prompts to Brie (our AI assistant) that attempt to bypass safety guardrails or instruct her to perform off-topic, harmful, or deceptive tasks.
- Impersonate other users, MintBoy, our community bots, or misrepresent your affiliation with Mintage or any third party.
- Post content to Mint Social that is harassing, threatening, hateful, sexually explicit, infringing on third-party rights, illegal in your jurisdiction, or that promotes scams or counterfeit cards.
- Use Mintage's feed or stories to send unsolicited commercial messages, mass advertising, or links to scam / phishing sites.
- Interfere with the operation of the app or its servers, including via automated requests, denial-of-service attempts, or vulnerability exploitation.
- Use Mintage to facilitate counterfeiting, money-laundering, or any commercial scheme involving fraudulent representation of card values.
7. Bot Disclosure (MintBoy + Community Bots)
Mintage's Mint Social feed includes automated accounts operated by us. Specifically:
- "MintBoy" is our official bot account. It posts a weekly recap of the community's top pulls as a 3-image carousel with PSA-styled slabs and market context.
- Approximately 30 additional personality-driven community bots post their own dream pulls, comments, likes, and stories using AI-generated text. They keep the feed active especially during early-launch periods when human user volume is still building.
- Every bot account is identifiable in-app by its profile and badge configuration. Bots never receive private messages, never solicit money or personal information, and never claim to be human users.
Bot output is AI-generated and may occasionally be wrong, off-topic, or out-of-context. Treat bot posts and comments as ambient content, not as advice or authoritative information.
8. AI Features (Brie)
Mintage includes "Brie", an AI assistant that answers questions about cards, summarizes your collection, and helps you decide what to buy or grade next. Brie runs on your device through Apple Intelligence Foundation Models. Your chat messages and the related collection metadata are processed locally on your iPhone and do not leave the device for AI inference. We do not use any third-party cloud AI provider for Brie's chat.
Free users get 50 Brie messages per day. Pro and Founder subscribers get unlimited messages, subject to a fair-use ceiling and per-user rate limit to prevent abuse.
9. Subscriptions and Payments (Pro · Founder)
Mintage offers optional Pro and Founder subscription tiers via in-app purchase through Apple's App Store. Pricing is displayed at the point of sale and may vary by region as Apple converts to your local currency.
Subscription state (active, trial, lapsed, etc.) is managed through RevenueCat, our subscription-management provider. RevenueCat receives subscription receipt data from Apple and passes the entitlement state to our backend so we can unlock Pro features for you.
Subscriptions auto-renew at the price and interval shown at purchase until you cancel. You can cancel any time from the iOS Subscriptions screen (Settings → Your Name → Subscriptions). Refunds are handled exclusively by Apple per Apple's standard refund policy — Mintage does not process or issue refunds directly.
If your subscription lapses, your account remains intact — you simply revert to the Free tier limits. Any Pro-only content you created (e.g., binders beyond the Free limit) is preserved but read-only until you renew or move items out of those binders.
10. Push Notifications
Push notifications are entirely opt-in. After granting iOS permission, you can independently toggle each alert type in Settings: wishlist hits, big movers in your real collection, and a daily portfolio summary. We never send marketing pushes; alerts only fire when your data actually moves.
11. Disclaimers of Warranty
MINTAGE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THE ACCURACY OF CARD METADATA, MARKET PRICES, AI OUTPUTS, OR USER-GENERATED CONTENT. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOSSES RESULTING FROM RELIANCE ON THE APP'S DATA.
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL MINTAGE OR ITS DEVELOPERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF — OR INABILITY TO USE — THE APP, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO MINTAGE OR THESE TERMS, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STATUTE, OR OTHERWISE, IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID TO MINTAGE, IF ANY, IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $25.00. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES, SO PORTIONS OF THIS LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
13. DMCA & Copyright Complaints
Mintage respects intellectual-property rights and responds to clear notices of alleged infringement that comply with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA, 17 U.S.C. § 512) and equivalent laws in other jurisdictions, including the Philippine Intellectual Property Code (R.A. 8293).
If you believe content displayed in or made available through Mintage infringes a copyright you own or control, send a written notice to privacy@mintagetcg.app with the subject line "DMCA Notice" containing all of the following:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- Identification of the material in Mintage that is claimed to be infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it (card name, set, screen, post URL, etc.).
- Your contact information (mailing address, telephone number, and email address).
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
We will review and respond to valid notices, remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material where appropriate, and may terminate accounts of repeat infringers. Counter-notifications may be submitted to the same address with the subject line "DMCA Counter-Notice".
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notice and updates to the effective date at the top of this document. Your continued use of Mintage after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
15. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe pose a risk to other users, the service, or third parties. You may delete your account at any time via the Profile screen. Termination of your account ends your right to use the service immediately; deletion of your data follows the schedule in our Privacy Policy.
16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of Mintage shall be brought exclusively before the competent courts of Metro Manila, Philippines, and you submit to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. Nothing in this Section limits your right to bring a complaint before the consumer-protection authority in your country of residence.
